COMMENTS
Ruins Lost is Brandon Feldt's solo internet project, and has a revolving line-up of guest musicians that can vary between each song released.
'From The Ashes' is the project's debut single, features Justin Runge (Final War) on vocals, and is mixed and mastered by Will McHenry (The Emblem Faction).
'Dust & Blood' is the project's second official single, features Sam Sherod (In Sincerity) on vocals, and is once again mixed and mastered by Will McHenry.
The track 'Eternal' features Brandon Feldt on guitars, with vocals and lyrics by Ethan Olson (Abstract Forms), drums by KC Brand (Equipoise, The Ritual Aura), and mixing/mastering by Will McHenry at Pulsar Sound.
The single 'Unchained' has two guest features - Mark Richardson (The Emblem Faction) on vocals and Micah Richardson (Collapse//Revive) on guitar (who performed the guest solo). Note that they are not related. Will McHenry mixed/mastered.
Album Details
Ruins Lost's debut album, 'Overgrown', was released on 7th October 2026. Apart from the digital download, it was also available as a Digipak CD limited to just 50 copies.
Drums on tracks 1, 2, 4, & 6 by Ryan Bernard (Safe Space, Spectrum).
Drums on (track 3) Unchained by BF (Brandon Feldt).
Drums on (track 5) Eternal Life, Eternal Love by KC Brand (The Odious Construct, The Ritual Aura).
Track 3 'Unchained And Unkept' has its drums credited to simply 'BF', and this is actually Brandon Feldt. He programmed the drums on this one.
Track 6 'Send Me Out... With A Bang' features 'Big Glizz' of Nyhilist. On some pre-release album artwork drafts it showed credits as 'Vincent Venn Of Nyhilist'.
The album was also mixed and mastered by Will McHenry.
From day one to album release, the project took something like a minimum of five years, between figuring out the compositions/contributers/computer issues and life stuff. So according to Brandon "... it really is an amazing feeling..." to finally have the album out there.
Note that the pre-release tracks are now considered demo versions and are not indicative of the quality of the final versions of the songs on the album. These tracks were also done before Ethan officially joined the project.
Demo versions of the tracks were reworked and renamed, ending up on the album as follows:
'Dust & Blood' became 'Meddling And Madness'
'Eternal' became 'Eternal Life, Eternal Love'
'From The Ashes' became 'Send Me Out... With A Bang'
Author's note: The 'Overgrown' album was released on 7th October... my birthday!
