COMMENTS

Sometimes stylized as 'N.O.T.H.I.N.G.'.

The band combines many different influences into one chaotic mix.

Hardcore metal with a twist of funk.

NOTHING started as a whole in February 1999. They went into the studio in June and recorded a 5-song demo. They rushed the studio to get a CD to enter the Mancow Lazer Luau Battle Of The Bands on July 28 1998. Since then they have opened for many local and a few national acts. They were then gearing up to go back into the studio to record their full-length album.

Scott was one of three different bass players the band had. The first was Jeff Fox, then Scott, then Rick Stuber.

The band played a show with both Scott and Rick playing bass at the same time.

They had two bass players in the band at the same time at one point, Rick and Scott. Then Rick must have left because it was only Scott afterwards.

'The Empty Class' EP (1999) was also considered a demo.

Harold Waits: "The original 'Nothing' line-up was me and Dustin Leggett on guitar, Robert Land on vocals, Craig Langford on drums and Jeff Fox on bass. Jeff left the band when we just got going, and we played many shows without a bass player. We played a show at Hairy Mary's with a band called 'Alter Ego' and their bass player, Rick Stuber, said he would like to play with us, and then we had our bass player. When I left the band, Ryan Thornton replaced me."

Author's note: It appears that the planned full-length album was never finished or released, and the band probably disbanded around 2001.
