COMMENTS

Sometimes seen spelt as 'Newborn Aggression', or shortened to 'New Borns', or simply 'NBA'.

New Born Aggression was another Peoria-based metal band from the late '90s, who wore facepaint and costumes.

Chad Gray (Mudvayne) 'stole' the look from Tony Kelly (New Born Aggression), specifically the 'smile' facepaint design.

Mudvayne and NBA were in a race to get out of their hometown to see who could make it first, and it was very competitive. When it was clear that Mudvayne were the ones being picked, Tony ceremoniously handed off the image to Mudvayne, Chad taking his almost one-to-one from Tony. Chad ended up using Tony's look in the early days of Mudvayne. Neither Tony or NBA have ever gotten credit from either Chad or Mudvayne for the image.

Tony Kelly is now friends with Mudvayne and does their artwork.

Tony Kelly also had previous ties to Slipknot, as he was the artist that created an old infamous Howard Stern Vs Slipknot comic book from back in the day. The comic book was called 'Slipknot: Howard Stern = Shit' (2000, Michael Hunt Publishing). It is said to be limited to 2,000 copies (some sources say 2,500 copies). It is a full-length comic book inspired by a 1999 appearance on The Howard Stern Show with guests Insane Clown Posse, Coal Chamber and a then up-and-coming Slipknot. The synopsis of the story revolves around Slipknot beating Howard Stern to death.

Vocalist Scott had another band called 'Angerwound'.

Author's note: There's very little info on the band anywhere online. Most of the info on this page was taken from the video by 'The House Of Masks' and the comments left by people with some insight into the story.
