COMMENTS

Singer Aaron Peltz and drummer Danny Spain were considered the two main members of the band, with every other position being kind of a bit of a revolving door of local, but respected, musicians.

John Hatterman was in Deadfront in 1997, before Shawn Economaki. It was before he joined Spore.

Bruce Swink joined in September 1998, when Max left the band.

Steve Pundzak was also in the band on bass, later replaced by Wade Thompson.

Tim Flor (ex-Painface/ex-PygWalk) was briefly in Deadfront at one point, and was replaced by Jim Root.

Jim left the band to join Slipknot, and Shawn left soon after to be a roadie for Slipknot.

There's some uncertainty surrounding the band's demo tracks 'Bionic', 'Squirm', and 'Will Be Heard'. It was previously thought that they came out after the 'Nemesis' (1998) album, as they sound more modern and have scratches which matches having a DJ in the band in a later line-up. However, some say that the demo tracks are from 1997, so before the 'Nemesis' album. There's merch apparently from '98, where the three demo track titles appear there, and they were also said to have been played live. As for 'Will Be Heard' specifically, this one's a bit more of a mystery. That song appeared on a 1999 compilation called 'AGGRO - Culture Compilation Volume #1', and it is believed that it's a re-recorded version, or they just added scratches to the original. The band apparently had plans for a new release in 1999, so maybe it was from that, but the exact name and how many tracks were going to be included are unknown. So, the 2001 line-up is actually said to be from 1999, and that the band disbanded later that year.

Author's note: The discrepancy with the 1999/2001 line-ups and the exact year that the three demo tracks released is indeed puzzling, as the band didn't even have a DJ to add the scratching when the demo tracks were supposedly released earlier in 1997. So the only explanation for the scratching by the DJ, is that they were added to newer versions of the demo songs, maybe in like final versions. My own notes (and later research by other contributors), which formed the basis of this page, was correct at time of writing and therefore I'm hesitant about changing it. My timeline of events makes sense to me, but then again one also can't deny the newer evidence presented. I've left the info on this page as it was, and you as the reader can make up your own mind on the matter.
